Shared hosting starts at just $1.95/month for the GreenGeeks’ Lite plan which is very cheap. This will give you one website with 25gb of space and unmetered traffic, along with a free domain for the first year and an SSL certificate and e-mail address. What’s not to love? 

If you want to host multiple websites, you will need to opt for their Pro or Premium packages which start at $3.95 per month and $5.95 per month respectably (pre-paid for 12 months).

In our view, this is very cheap and an all round great offering. However, there are some important caveats:

• Renewal prices are significantly higher across all shared plans. After year 1 the monthly price shoots from $1.95 to $13.95 for a Lite package. The Pro and Premium packages pop from $3.95 to $18.95 and $5.95 to $30.95.
 This is something to bear in mind. The first year is very cheap, but after year one you should be prepared for a less competetive monthly price equivilant.

GreenGeeks sticks with traditional cPanel, which many users still prefer for it’s excellent usability.
